New Channels and Customer Updates

New Channel Additions

On April 1, 2010...Cox will add Epix, a new movie channel offering Hollywood titles plus classic feature films, original series, and music and comedy specials.  Epix will be made available to subscribers of the digital movie pak at no additional charge.  Epix will also be made available as a stand-alone purchase with Cox TV Starter and a Cox Advanced TV receiver.  

At this time, Cox will also add 11 new High-Definition channels to our lineup which include the following channels:  HD PPV Events (channel 700), Weather Channel HD (channel 725), Hallmark HD (channel 734), Investigation Discovery HD (channel 774), Epix HD (channel 786), ESPNU HD (801), Tennis HD (channel 809), BBC America HD (channel 821), Disney XD HD (channel 826), WE HD (channel 827) and StarzEdge HD (Channel 851).  Fox Soccer HD (channel 804) will be added on April 30.    

A subscription to the corresponding Advanced TV Pak or the corresponding Premium channel is required to view some of these new HD channels.  In addition to these new HD channels, we will add two new channels to our Advanced TV channel lineup.  SWRV (channel 900) will be now part of the Variety Pak and Epix (channel 313) will be added to the Movie Pak.  Due to programming content changes, Halogen (formerly i-Life) located on channel 384 in the Faith & Values Pak will be moved to channel 367 in the Variety Pak.  

Effective June 1, 2009...Cox is pleased to announce the expansion of its High Definition channel line-up to include 18 new High Definition channels:

-E! Entertainment HD (channel 736)
-Comedy Central HD (Channel 737)
-MTV HD (channel 738)
-VH1 HD (Cannel 739)
-CMT HD (channel 743)
-The Disney Channel HD (Channel 745)
-Speed HD (Channel 753)
-Versus HD (Channel 754)
-Spike TV HD (Channel 756)
-Fox News Channel HD (Channel 763)
-ABC Family HD (channel 767)
-Encore HD (Channel 785)
-Lifetime Movie Network HD (Channel 787)
-Hallmark Movie Channel HD (Channel 793)
-Fox Business Network HD (Channel 796)
-Bio HD (Channel 806)
-HBO 2 HD (Channel 831)
Cox Digital Cable customers will receive these channels at no additional charge as long as they subscribe to the corresponding Tier or Package in which the Standard Definition version of the HD channel resides. In addition, National Geographic HD on Channel 719 will be moved to Channel 770 on June 1st. For more information, call 784-8000.

Effective April 1, 2009... Cox will make several changes to our programming lineup to include the addition of six new High-Definition channels: Cartoon HD (channel 729), FX HD (channel 732), Travel HD (channel 749), Golf HD (channel 752), Animal Planet HD (channel 757) and History HD (channel 759).  (BET HD, channel 735, will also join the lineup on April 15th.)  On this date, the Pentagon Channel will also be added to the Digital Sports and Information Tier on channel 317.

Additionally, all of our subscription High-Definition Service channels will move to new channel numbers.  HBO HD will move from channel 730 to channel 830. Cinemax HD will move from channel 735 to channel 835.  Showtime HD will move from channel 740 to channel 840 and Starz! HD will move from channel 750 to channel 850.

On this date, Cox15, located on channel 15 in the Limited Basic package, will also be removed and replaced by Inspiration Network (INSP).  INSP is currently located on channel 12 in the Limited Basic package.  QVC will then move from channel 34 in the Expanded Basic package to channel 12 in the Limited Basic Package.  Correspondingly, the Hallmark Channel, which is currently located on channel 68 in the Expanded Basic package, will move to channel 34 in the Expanded Basic package.
