2010 Cox Charity Golf Applications Now Open
Cox is actively committed to supporting the good works of local nonprofits. As part of our community relations program and in an effort to better serve the Middle Georgia community, Cox hosts a charity golf tournament each year. All proceeds raised are donated to two nonprofits (located within the Cox Middle Georgia service area) that address a critical community need. If you would like your organization to be considered for 2010 funding, then we encourage you to apply. Simply email mary.huff@cox.com for an application. Note: typed applications are due by 5 pm on Friday, January 22. .
A Cox employee charity selection panel will review applications and submit four finalists for an all employee vote. Two charities will be selected by February 2010. All applicants must have 501c3 tax-exempt status. A copy of the applicant’s 501c3 status must accompany the returned application to be considered for nomination. Charities must provide services and be located within Cox Middle Georgia service areas to be considered for nomination. Cox does not fund: organizations without 501c3 tax exempt status; individuals; religious organizations for religious purposes; political candidates or lobbying organizations; organizations operating outside of Cox service areas; nonprofit organizations operated by private industry; travel expenses for groups/individuals; advertising or anti-business groups.
