COX DELIVERS FASTER INTERNET SPEEDS FOR MIDDLE GEORGIA CUSTOMERS

Macon, Georgia – Beginning June 3, Cox Communications will increase speeds for Preferred and Premier Cox High Speed Internet customers in Middle Georgia. This increase ensures that residential and commercial Cox customers will continue to experience the fastest speeds in the marketplace, as Cox will now deliver downloads up to 18 Mbps locally. In addition, customers who select Cox’s Preferred or higher package can get an extra burst of speed when PowerBoost® technology kicks in. These latest speed upgrades are automatic and there’s no need for customers to call in or schedule a technician visit to enjoy them.

For more than a decade, Cox has delivered some of the fastest Internet speeds in the market,” stated Mike Dyer, Vice President and General Manager of Cox Communications. “This is the 6th year in a row that we’ve enhanced our Internet speeds. Thanks to this latest speed increase, customers who choose Cox High Speed Internet can download movies, surf the Web and post videos online – all faster than ever before.”
